UPCOMING EVENTS

Things to do for 2008:

* Renew your membership or join EBFRW.
(You can join/renew online via PayPal from our Contact Links page)

* Be healthy, keep running/walking and have fun!

* Invite a friend who may or may not be a runner or walker to one of our events.
We extend a special invitation to our community's women to join us each second Saturday (the Oakland/Lake Merritt run). We value our diversity and believe that participation by everyone will make our club all the more fun and successful.

THE SOCIALISTA CALENDAR OF EVENTS:

JULY

. . . . get ready for a new EBFRW excursion to the Oakland Museum of California featuring:

Birth of the Cool: California Art, Design, and Culture at Midcentury

Birth of the Cool: California Art, Design, and Culture at Midcentury looks at the painting, architecture, furniture design, decorative and graphic arts, film, and music that launched mid-century modernism in the United States, and established Los Angeles as a major American cultural center.

July 4th Parade in Alameda

Kick off your 4th of July with a bang!
Participate in the annual Alameda 5K R.A.C.E., which precedes the annual Independence Day parade through the streets of Alameda. Follow that up by joining treasurer Susan Holt and Deb Knowles for an open house and parade viewing at their home, perfectly located on the parade route. Deb, Susan and their neighbors usually make a day of it, following the open house with a block party lasting into the afternoon.
